Feminism or Female Chauvinism?

In the name of feminism, one cannot justify immoral choices! 
Extreme feminism is the other end of Male Chauvinism.
Thumbs up to everyone who supports women empowerment. But extremism of any kind is not healthy for the self, people around you or the entire society in general and the thoughts depicted in the “MY CHOICE” video starring Deepika Padukone reeks of IMMORALITY, HYPOCRISY and EXTREME FEMINISM. It does very little, if not nothing, to add any value to actual women empowerment.

If the ideas and thoughts, publicised in the video, are supported and acted upon by majority of women then very soon the wheel is going to start turning the other way around and FEMALE CHAUVINISM will be the new dreaded monster replacing the existing monster called male chauvinism. (As a matter of fact, female chauvinism is already quite existent in quite a few sections of our society (and fast spreading!) And, slowly and steadily its turning into quite a big menacing entity whose negative effects are starting to become visible in day-to-day life!)

When Women Empowerment is pitched as MEN Vs WOMEN, the basic essence of the concept is lost!

Please know, when good and non-chauvinist men would start facing extreme feminism on a regular basis, they would also start turning hostile and negatively biased against women. And I guess, there are more then enough Male Chauvinist monsters already in our society, so we should’nt be adding more to that count!

Also, Please understand that “Balance is the key” , “Equality is the key.”, Blind extremist feminism in the name of women empowerment is not!

Nobody has the right to question a person’s individual choices on the basis of whether the person is a man or a woman. And so in the same manner, whether you are a man or a woman, if you choose to expect Love, Loyalty, Respect, Honesty, faithfulness and Care from others, then the same needs to exude from you too!

The real essence of Women Empowerment, or anyone’s empowerment, is EQUALITY. And, Hypocrisy cannot be a virtue on the basis of which one can hope to create a society of equals!

So, 3 cheers to “real” women empowerment and may the day come soon when every person treats and considers Men and Women as equals! And for that to happen, such depictions and portrayals of Women Empowerment, as in the “My Choice” video, should be neglected! Hoping that good counsel prevails on each of us. 🙂
